DAY 01:: GUWAHATI – CHERAPUNJEE (145kms. / 05hrs.)

Meet and assist by our representative at the Airport / Rly. Station & transfer to Cherapunjee . Cherapunjee is locally and officially known as Sohra. Cherrapunjee happened to be the “ Wettest place on Earth ” until the Guinness Book of World records officially attributed the honour to Mawsrynram.

En route visit Umium Lake , a majestic placid lake with its surrounding sylvan hills. On arrival at Cherapunjee, check in at your hotel. Evening free for leisure. Overnight stay at hotel/resort in Cherapunjee.

DAY 02:: CHERANPUNJEE

Morning, trek to the Living Root Bridge . The trek normally takes two to three hours. The route is replete with small villages where one can relax and explore rural life.

Before you go for the Double Decker Living Root Bridge, you would come across a single living root bridge. Thereafter trek for another hour or so and reach the Double Decker Living Root Bridge, a UNESCO Heritage. This amazing bridge is a Two-Tier Living Root Bridge (made of the roots of a living tree), connecting a chasm with a pool of jade water below. The two tiers measure 59ft and 83 ft. in length respectively. In the afternoon visit the beautiful waterfalls of - Nohkalikai, The Seven Sister falls , as well as the Mawsmai cave , the Thangkharang park, Khoh Ramrah and Eco Park . After breakfast, drive to Mawlynnong Village . Mawlynnong Village has earned the distinction of being the cleanest village in India. It is situated 90 km from Shillong. Besides, the picturesque village offers many interesting sights such as the Living Root Bridge and another strange natural phenomenon of a boulder balancing on another rock.

Thereafter walk through the village and visit the. Sky View , the highest point in Mawlynnong, constructed entirely by local villagers. Bamboo steps and mini-ladders crisscross through five trees, gently gaining height until you are about 18.28 meters high. In the tallest tree in the forest is a machan-like viewing platform from where you get a lovely view of the Bangladesh plains.

DAY 04:: MAWLYNNONG – SHILLONG (72Kms. / 02hrs.)
